Where the Top 100 Consumer AI Apps Sit on the ETMM Ladder
Every product in Top 100 Gen AI Consumer Apps (7th edition, October 2026), 50 web and 50 mobile, mapped to the five ETMM maturity levels, from Copper Service to Platinum Autonomy. Select a tier to filter the register.
Product is the crowded middle
The largest group is packaged AI functions: photo, beauty, video and music tools, mostly on mobile. Each does one job well, but none learns the user's context or acts on its own.
The assistants have reached Immersive
ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Meta AI combine voice, camera, memory and workspace context. Their agents still run on request and under approval, so they stop short of closed-loop Autonomy.
Autonomy is limited to building tools
The seven Platinum entries plan, execute and self-correct: Manus, Genspark, and coding and app builders such as Cursor, Antigravity, Replit, Lovable and Base44. All seven are web products.

Method. ETMM is an enterprise maturity model. Here each app is treated as the enterprise and placed at the highest level its shipping product reliably shows. Copper: AI assists an existing human-run service. Silver: AI is packaged as a repeatable product function. Gold: the product reasons over data and supports decisions. Diamond: AI works from the user's intent and context. Platinum: agents plan, execute and self-correct, escalating to a human only when needed.
Lists and links. a16z publishes both lists alphabetically, so no ranks are shown. 19 products appear on both lists, giving 81 distinct products. Each app name links to its official site, or to its app store listing where no official site is available. Descriptions were checked on 6 October 2026.
